How to change your MX records using the Web Host Manager (WHM)

You can use the Mail Exchange logs to locate your email address and manage and manage your MX records through the editing area within cpanel and also through the Web Hosting Manager (WHM). In that article we will talk about how the MX records are changed by WHM
There are many features that make changing MX records over WHM better like managing a set of accounts, routing domain email, and changing MX records with just one interface.

To change your MX records, you will need to go to your mail server settings to make changes or additions to your MX records. These changes take up to 24 hours before activation.


Steps to add or edit MX records in WHM:

Step 1: Log in to your WHM account.
Click on DNS functions

Step 2: Through the left menu, the DNS functions are pressed
Click on Edit MX Entry

Step 3: Click on the Edit MX Entry icon and a set of options will then appear in the submenu. The MX Entry option is selected
Select a domain

Step 4: In this step you can select the range to edit.
Scroll down to MX Entries

Step 5: Go down to insert MX records into the Edit MX Entry box and then head to the MX Entries section.
Add or edit MX record

Step 6: Through the MX Entries section you can start editing the XM record. You can add new records and add all the required information as appropriate to you. You can control the value of the TTL by clicking on its own box and editing it.
Click on SAVE

Step 7: Click the Save Changes icon
